Jay is an innovator and an expert on client ID rules across in Canada. He is the Co-founder and Chief Legal Officer of Treefort Technologies, the premier Canadian identity verification technology company for lawyers to verify client identity and prevent fraud.

Treefort is the fastest growing IDV company in Canada with over 1000+ clients consisting of law firms, notaries, mortgage brokers, title insurance companies and other entities. Before Treefort, Jay was a Partner at Witten LLP in Edmonton, Alberta, where he managed a successful commercial real estate practice for 23 years. Jay has always been attracted to building things starting with tree forts on his family’s farm, which transitioned into building technology that can make a difference for lawyers.
